“Welcome to Pandemonium! You’re currently in Bedlam Hospital: you were found unconscious on the streets of our wonderful city. Don’t panic! We find a lot of people in a similar state, with no recollection of whom they are or where they’re from. We’re quite happy to accommodate you in our city, however: there are a block of apartments that we use to house new arrivals until they’re financially stable to support themselves. The people of Pandemonium are perfectly friendly, and we’ve enough attractions to keep you entertained throughout your stay. If you’re ready to leave the hospital, we’ll take you to your room. I hope you enjoy your stay in Pandemonium!”

10/10/08 - Panfandemonium!! is opened to the public!

The Halloween Festival!
From 24/10/08 to 31/10/08, the city of Pandemonium will be celebrating Halloween to its fullest! Expect updates as they come.

In the city of Pandemonium, there is more than meets the eye. To the outsider, it appears to be a blissful city, protected by the coast to the east and the mountain range to the west. To the north and the south are the roads in – and, apparently, out – of the town. In its content, there are more than enough places for old residents and new arrivals to work, hang out, shop, live, and go about their everyday life.

 the RULES.

General
  • Respect other members, including staff. Discrimination or prejudice of any kind will not be accepted. Treat other people as you would like to be treated.
  • Please do not ‘backseat’ mod. We’ll deal with the issue as soon as possible.
  • Similarly, don't act like you're the best friend of the staff. Chances are, you aren't.
  • Don’t spam or flood the forum. We don’t need short pointless annoying messages, and the more patient you are, the more likely that someone may want to play with you.
  • Do not use chat speak on the site. You may use abbreviations (brb, gtg, ttyl, etc.) in the c-box, but not in posts.
  • If you are going to be absent, make sure to contact someone so that we will not accidentally remove you from the site.

Characters + Joining
  • You may have ONE character per account. However, you may have as many characters (and accounts) as you can handle. If we feel that you aren’t participating with all of your characters, we will contact you and arrange for you to drop some.
  • When registering, please join with the first name of your character. After registering, please change your display name to the first and last name of your character.
  • At the moment, you may not play original characters. If you would desperately like to play an original character, contact the staff and we’ll work something out.
  • Accepted ‘mediums’ for characters to come from are: movies, television shows, anime, manga, cartoons, comic books, and books. If you feel that we have missed something out, please tell us and we’ll edit the list. You may not roleplay real people (e.g., celebrities) as characters on the forum.
  • You can play a well-known character or a fairly obscure one, as long as you have proof of their existence.
  • As most accepted mediums have images, your character will already have a PB (played by). For books, however, you may use their movie actor (if they have one), or find one of your own, if you wish.
  • Your character can also not be perfect, even if they are considered as such in canon (unless, of course, you talk to the admin and we work something out). Generally, all characters are expected to have flaws, and they cannot be brilliant at everything.
  • As this is a multi-fandom roleplay, you may (and are encouraged) to roleplay with characters outside of your character’s fandom (because we don’t want to create cliques, and it’s an interesting concept). Your character may strike up friendships or sexual relationships with characters from series that are not their own. However, please acknowledge that canon relationships will still affect your character (for example, if they are married and not prone to cheating, I highly doubt that they would cheat because their respective other is not there).

Graphics
  • Avatars cannot be bigger than 100x100. If they are, they will be resized.
  • Signatures may not be any larger than 450x150 (width by height), if they are graphics.
  • Do not use any images that you do not have permission to use (e.g., fan art). If you have permission, you may use them.
  • Explicit images (e.g., pornography) are not accepted. They will be removed if posted.

In Character + Roleplay
  • We are an intermediate to advanced site, which means that we expect at least a paragraph per response, with a paragraph being made up of three to five sentences. There is no word limit for a reply.
  • Grammar, punctuation and spell-check are your friends, particularly the latter. If you don’t have Microsoft Word, you can always use an online spell-checker, or the one built into Proboards. There is no excuse for misspellings (unless, of course, they are made-up words that the spell-checker doesn’t understand).
  • Godmoding and powerplaying are not your friends. Godmoding is having an all-powerful character that cannot be hit; powerplaying is controlling another person’s character without their permission.
  • Violence, explicit language and sexual content is allowed as long as you clearly mark it with an R. Some people do not like to read those types of situations, and expect warning so that they will not have to read something that they don’t want to.
  • Be aware of and respect the OOC/IC divide. If your characters are enemies, it doesn’t mean that you and the other roleplay have to be nasty to one another. Similarly, characters will not know what you know (such as the other character thinking, unless, of course, they are a telepath).
